My name is Madison Campbell, and I am currently a member of the softball team at Cleary University in Howell, MI where I contribute to the roster as a lefty outfielder and slapper. I am 20 years old and entering my junior year this fall. I graduated from Huron High School in New Boston, MI in 2019 where I was a four year varsity letterman. I have a background with coaching 8U-10U, while also giving pitching and hitting lessons. I have been coaching for the past two years at Ann Arbor Gold Fastpitch in the 10U division. I have a pure passion for the game of softball being an athlete of it for almost 12 years and counting. Being a young, non-parent coach who is still playing and learning from a great college program, I bring a new perspective and modern approach to teaching girls to love the game the same way I do. Although I hold my young athletes to a standard, I create an environment where there is no fear of failure on or off the field. I build confidence in my players by showing them I believe in them and to trust the process. I teach my athletes to respect themselves, each other, coaches, and officials. I understand my job is to teach the love of the game and that it’s supposed to be fun! I will be joined by assistant coaches Kate Currie and Alexis Beeson, who are also Cleary softball players. I’m beyond proud to represent such a great name in travel softball, as well as my Cleary softball team. This sport has given me so much and I’m excited I get to give back to girls who love the game too!
