Jared Bunch

Head Coach

About Coach Bunch

For the past four years I have instructed and coached girls at the recreational level.  I am excited to move into the more competitive travel world and to continue helping girls learn the game and become not only the best players, but the best young women they can be.  We will have fun, but make no mistake, we will work hard as well.  I am originally from Indiana and moved to Michigan for work 15 years ago.  I met my wife, Alyssa, 12 years ago and we now have four children, three girls and one boy.

The foundational expectations I have for the team are:

Be Respectful

  • always be respectful of themselves, each other, and the coaches
  • be respectful of the opposing teams, fans, and parents
  • be respectful of the umpires
  • be respectful of the facilities, both indoors and outdoors, that we have the privilege of practicing and playing on

Be Responsible

  • be prepared and on time to all activities
  • take responsibility for mistakes: acknowledge them, learn from them, and move on
  • be responsible in all your actions on and off the field

Be Resilient

  • do not dwell on mistakes or losses

“The key is not the will to win. Everybody has that. It is the will to prepare to win that is important.“– Bobby Knight, former Indiana men’s college basketball coach and Basketball Hall of Fame member.

“What do you do with a mistake: recognize it, admit it, learn from it, forget it.” – Dean Smith, former UNC men’s college basketball coach and two-time national champion.
