Coach Maloney has been coaching for over 25 years. He is the varsity baseball coach at Warren Mott High School where he has won over 325 games, has had 9 All-State players, 1 Mr. Baseball, 4 district Championships, 1 Regional title, and 1 State Runner-Up in 2002. Coach Maloney was named the Detroit News State of Michigan High School Coach of the Year in 2002. Coach Maloney has also coached for the Grosse Pointe Redbirds, Michigan Titans, Michigan Chargers, and Detroit Metro Stars. As a Detroit Metro Stars coach he coached a team to the prestigious Connie Mack World Series. He has won over 40 tournament championships including many state championships and top 5 National finishes in major events. As a travel ball coach, Coach Maloney has coached 2 Mr. Baseball's and has seen over 250 players play college baseball and 14 play professionally. Coach Maloney currently is the President of the Detroit Metro Stars Baseball Organization.
On the Softball field, in 6 travel softball seasons Coach Maloney's teams have won over 350 games and over 30 tournament championships. These teams have finished in the top 5 of several National events. They also won Best Sportsmanship of all teams in all age groups at the 12u USSSA Nationals in Bentonville, Arkansas (over 150 teams). Last summer, Coach Maloney's Michigan Batbusters Premier team went 54-16-2 overall, winning 4 tournaments and finishing 5th at the Colorado Sparkler held in Tennessee.
In the classroom, Mr. Maloney is a teacher at Warren Mott High School where he teaches World History. Along with coaching Varsity Baseball, he also coaches Freshman Boys Basketball. His best known former basketball player Kenny Goins played at Michigan State and is now playing pro ball in Greece. Mr. Maloney loves to challenge students in the classroom and encourages his players to be model students and productive citizens.
Coach Maloney is married to Jamie Maloney and has two daughters, Faith and Gracie. Both daughters play for Turnin2 teams. Faith plays for T2 National Marra and Gracie plays for T2 National Maloney. Coach Maloney's oldest brother, Rich Maloney, is the Head Baseball Coach at Ball State University.

I’ve coached and helped train my two sons who are now both playing baseball at the Division 1 college level at Xavier University.
