Bill has been coaching travel softball at all age groups for over 10 years. He has successfully helped many players obtain their goal of playing college softball, not only by coaching, but being an integral part of their recruiting process.
He believes the desire to succeed or excel beyond expected limitations is the foundation of a successful team. Dedication to the sport, team, and self is the first ingredient he looks for in a player. Bill is focused on cultivating hardworking and focused athletes, with an emphasis on teamwork and perseverance.
Players are expected to work just as hard off the field as they do on the field. Their commitment to their school work is just as important as their commitment to softball.
The goal for this team is to create a winning culture consisting of a “team first” mentality, player accountability, hard work, and a strong love of the game.
This will be Coach Allen’s 3rd year coaching with Turnin2. He has a long history of involvement in youth sports, as well as playing himself. James played baseball at Rochester University. He has earned his Youth Sports Certification from Michigan State University and was the Youth Sports Director for YMCA. Coach Allen is passionate about helping athletes realize their potential, set goals, support their steps to achieve them, and reinforcing fundamentals that extend well beyond the ball field into their journey through life.
