My goal as instructor is to help my players work through the hard, so they are the most confident hitters when getting into the box. We can not play a game of failure and not expect to fail in practice. Let's work through the failure, take ahold of our mental game and prepare our swing to hit any pitch thrown at us. Consistency is key and my expectations is consistency in working hard.

Hello, I'm Rodney Robeson, and I'm passionate about fostering a mindset of confidence and competence in athletes. My training philosophy revolves around instilling a deep understanding of fundamental skills and encouraging the right movement patterns to pave the way for consistent success.
At the core of my coaching approach is the belief that athletes must master the basics to achieve enduring success. Overlooking these fundamentals, both physically and mentally, can pose challenges in the long run. I work to ensure that athletes not only grasp but excel in these foundational skills.
While refining mechanical aspects is essential, my coaching goes beyond to focus on the key difference between average and elite athletes. It's the ability to comprehend game situations, adopt a disciplined approach each pitch, and ultimately outcompete opponents. Developing a strong mental capacity for the game is crucial.
In my sessions, athletes learn to recover swiftly from setbacks, concentrating on winning the next pitch. Choosing to compete with confidence is a conscious decision, and I am dedicated to guiding athletes in making that choice consistently. Let's embark on this journey together!

Associate Director of Training
Specializing in: Hitting, Slapping and Fielding
My name is Maddie Campbell, and I am the Associate Director of Training at Turnin2. I graduated from Cleary University (Howell, MI) in 2023 where I played first base/outfield and contributed to the lineup as a lefty power hitter/slapper. I am also a native of New Boston, MI where I went to Huron High School and graduated in 2019.
I have coached competitively in the 10u-12u age groups, and I specialize in instructing hitting, slapping, and fielding. I have been a part of the Turnin2 organization since 2021, and there’s nowhere else I’d rather call home! My favorite thing about T2 is the effort we put into the growth and development of all our players, no matter what level they are competing at. We build from the ground up and strive to set examples for each athlete who represents the Turnin2 name. I now help run our 20-week T2 player training program, College Prep Academy, and many other camps and clinics at Turnin2.
I believe in teaching players to be where their feet are, compete every pitch, and to dive head first into any challenge in their path. Pressure is a privilege always! I am so passionate about growing the person beyond the athlete, and my goal is to positively impact as many female athletes as possible. Softball has given me so much to be thankful for as an athlete and even more as a coach, and my favorite thing is sharing the love I have for this sport with others!
Head Coach

Specializes in; Hitting, Catching, Fielding and Mental Empowerment
My cornerstone has always been this..."Head, heart, body". It all starts with a plan in your HEAD, whether it's for hitting, slapping, bunting, fielding, or what have you. Then, it must transfer to your HEART, in that you must believe in the plan, your coaches and their teachings and guidance, and most importantly and undoubtedly, believe in yourself, with all your heart! Finally, it all filters down to your BODY. The muscle memory, the hours of individual lessons on pitching, hitting, fielding, the oh-so perfect form...it all won't matter if the head or the heart pieces are missing or are at less than 100%. This is my centerpiece of teaching!
The goal of these lessons is to provide proper mechanics, that fit the players body type and kinetic allowances, for: fielding, hitting mechanics, slapping techniques, catcher specific training, pitcher conditioning and catcher-pitcher empowerment lessons, mental conditioning and leadership skill building all within the lesson settings to improve their softball IQ, durability, and effectiveness in all areas of the game.

Molly is excited to help her students learn the core pitching fundamentals that are essential to developing spin, command and speed. Molly will also share her knowledge on what it takes to be successful in the circle, the role that pitchers have for their team and what being an Elite level pitcher requires.
Molly was a 4 year starter at Howell High School and helped lead her team to a runner up finish in the 2019 D1 State Championship finals. In 2020 she was named Michigan’s Miss Softball as a pitcher.
Upon graduating from Howell High School, Molly was recruited to pitch for the University of Notre Dame. Unfortunately, in 2021 her softball career at Notre Dame was cut short due to injury.

OPEN TO BASEBALL PLAYERS AS WELL
My name is Sean Bennett, and I am a lifetime student of the game of baseball and softball. I have been very fortunate enough to play under excellent coaches. I graduated from Hartland High School in 2011, where I was 3-year varsity letterman and the starting catcher for the 2011 team, which at the time, set the school record for most wins in a single season. I was fortunate enough to earn a scholarship from Hillsdale College where I served as the team’s primary catcher from 2011 – 2015. In addition, to my collegiate experience I have also played professionally with the Weimar Hormigas of the Pecos League.
For the past three years, I have served as a catching and hitting instructor for athletes ages 6 – 18 at the D-BAT Mid-Michigan location. I am passionate about helping athletes maximize their potential physically, but most importantly I believe in making the game fun. I believe in creating a fun and competitive environment in which failure is not only common but expected. We can’t expect to get better if we don’t challenge ourselves. One of my college coaches epitomized this thought process with the acronym CANI; constant and never-ending improvement.
With my background as a data analyst, I focus on trying to quantify and track the progress of my clients through various metrics available to us. I believe tracking quantifiable progress is key to producing on-field results. Through the utilization of Blast Swing Analyzer, HitTrax, radar guns, and other training technology I seek to track and maximize the development of every athlete.

My name is Jessica Dunkel. I grew up and attended Fenton Area Public Schools my whole life. In high school I was a 4-year varsity starter and was named captain both my junior and senior year. Throughout high school I was recognized by being both 1st and 2nd team Metro League, all district third baseman in 2021 and 2022, as well as all region team in 2022. I am currently going into my junior year at Madonna University where I play softball and am studying to become a nurse. Within my first two years at Madonna I have started in 96 games both at 3rd base and as a designated hitter. I currently have a combined batting average of .378 and OB% of .415 in which I have helped my team to become 2024 conference champions, 2023 and 2024 conference tournament champions, 2024 regional champions, and earning 5th place in the 2024 NAIA World Series. In 2024 I received first-team conference honors and NFCA all-region second team for the NAIA.
My goal as a hitting instructor is to create confidence in batters that carries onto the field. Providing hitters with the skills they need to be able to self-correct in competition is the most productive way to see results.”
