My goal as instructor is to help my players work through the hard, so they are the most confident hitters when getting into the box. We can not play a game of failure and not expect to fail in practice. Let's work through the failure, take ahold of our mental game and prepare our swing to hit any pitch thrown at us. Consistency is key and my expectations is consistency in working hard.

COMPETE with CONFIDENCE is a MINDSET!   My training philosophy and objective is to teach and reinforce basic fundamentals, along with implementing proper movement patterns, that will help lead to future success and consistency.   I strongly believe that all athletes must be able to master the basic fundamentals in order to be consistently successful.   Neglecting the basic fundamentals, both physically and mentally, will lead to bigger issues down the road.    Successful athletes understand the importance of mastering fundamentals.

In addition to mastering the basic mechanics and movements, my lessons will have a high degree of focus on what I believe is the most significant difference between average and elite athletes.    It’s the ability to understand the game situations, to have a specific and disciplined approach each pitch and then to be able to out COMPETE your opponent!    Understanding how to improve  your mental capacity for the game is critical.    Elite athletes recover quickly from failure and WIN the next pitch.   COMPETING with CONFIDENCE is a choice.  Let’s get to work!   For more information or to inquire about training, please email me.

My name is Madison Campbell, and I am entering my senior year at Cleary University where I contribute to my team’s roster as a lefty first baseman/outfielder. I have been playing softball since I was 9 years old and I am entering my 4th season as a head coach and my 2nd year at Turnin2. I graduated from Huron High School in New Boston, MI where I was a four year varsity letterman. I have a background in coaching 8u-10u and giving hitting, slapping, and fielding lessons. I run our Rising Star program at T2, as well as our 10 and under training sessions held throughout the year. I have a pure passion for the game of softball and coaching is where my heart is. Being a young, non-parent coach who is still playing and learning from a great college program, I bring a new perspective and modern approach to teaching young girls to love the game the way I do. Although I hold my young athletes to a high standard, I create an environment where there is no fear of failure on or off the field. I build confidence in my players by showing them I believe in them and to trust the process. I teach my athletes to respect themselves, each other, coaches, and officials. The energy I bring when coaching and instructing is always upbeat, and I understand that my job is to teach the love of the game and how fun it should be! Success is built off of optimism and positivity, and I take great pride in my players and students. I am so incredibly proud to represent Turnin2 and all that we stand for, and giving back to the game is something I plan on doing for a long time. This sport has given me so much to be grateful for and I am blessed to have the opportunity to share the love with young athletes who can appreciate softball the way I do!

My cornerstone has always been this..."Head, heart, body". It all starts with a plan in your HEAD, whether it's for hitting, slapping, bunting, fielding, or what have you. Then, it must transfer to your HEART, in that you must believe in the plan, your coaches and their teachings and guidance, and most importantly and undoubtedly, believe in yourself, with all your heart! Finally, it all filters down to your BODY. The muscle memory, the hours of individual lessons on pitching, hitting, fielding, the oh-so perfect all won't matter if the head or the heart pieces are missing or are at less than 100%.  This is my centerpiece of teaching!

The goal of these lessons is to provide proper mechanics, that fit the players body type and kinetic allowances, for: fielding, hitting mechanics, slapping techniques, catcher specific training, pitcher conditioning and catcher-pitcher empowerment lessons,  mental conditioning and leadership skill building all within the lesson settings to improve their softball IQ, durability, and effectiveness in all areas of the game.

Specializes in Pitching

Molly is excited to help her students learn the core pitching fundamentals that are essential to developing spin, command and speed. Molly will also share her knowledge on what it takes to be successful in the circle, the role that pitchers have for their team and what being an Elite level pitcher requires.

Molly was a 4 year starter at Howell High School and helped lead her team to a runner up finish in the 2019 D1 State Championship finals.  In 2020 she was named Michigan’s Miss Softball as a pitcher.
Upon graduating from Howell High School, Molly was recruited to pitch for the University of Notre Dame. Unfortunately, in 2021 her softball career at Notre Dame was cut short due to injury.

My name is Sean Bennett, and I am a lifetime student of the game of baseball and softball. I have been very fortunate enough to play under excellent coaches.  I graduated from Hartland High School in 2011, where I was 3-year varsity letterman and the starting catcher for the 2011 team, which at the time, set the school record for most wins in a single season. I was fortunate enough to earn a scholarship from Hillsdale College where I served as the team’s primary catcher from 2011 – 2015.  In addition, to my collegiate experience I have also played professionally with the Weimar Hormigas of the Pecos League.

For the past three years, I have served as a catching and hitting instructor for athletes ages 6 – 18 at the D-BAT Mid-Michigan location.  I am passionate about helping athletes maximize their potential physically, but most importantly I believe in making the game fun. I believe in creating a fun and competitive environment in which failure is not only common but expected. We can’t expect to get better if we don’t challenge ourselves.  One of my college coaches epitomized this thought process with the acronym CANI; constant and never-ending improvement.

With my background as a data analyst, I focus on trying to quantify and track the progress of my clients through various metrics available to us.  I believe tracking quantifiable progress is key to producing on-field results. Through the utilization of Blast Swing Analyzer, HitTrax, radar guns, and other training technology I seek to track and maximize the development of every athlete.

We are excited to bring on Breanna Keethler to head up our catching academy. A strong catcher is a game changer for a team and we are excited for our players to invest in themselves and get trained to control the defense behind the plate.
